Pop Up Screens Giveaway ~ Win tickets to an outdoor screening of Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World

I’m very excited to be bringing you a giveaway today!

Some time ago, I got tickets to see Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World at an outdoor screening run by Pop Up Screens. I was super-excited to go, because I love the idea of sitting in a park and watching a film. Ever since I watched Grease 800 times as a child, I wanted to go to a drive-in movie, and an outdoor movie is an extension of that. At my university summer ball in my final year, there was an outdoor showing of Grease, and my friends and I sat and watched it.

The reality of that was that we were in our pretty dresses and it was rather cold. My plan for the Pop Up Screens showing was to take a warm jumper (sure, it’s in August, but remember where we live), and a blanket, get some yummy food, and enjoy the film. Sadly, it’s not to be, as I can no longer make it.

But my loss is your gain, because the people at Pop  Up Screens have advised me that I can give my tickets to one of you lovely lot! I am giving away a pair of tickets to see the August 31st screening of Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World at Bishops Park in Fulham. The doors open at 7.30PM, and the film will start at 8.30PM. There is a fully stocked bar on site, as well as Tucker’s Exotic Meat Shack, serving Buffalo, Ostrich, Sprinbok, Wild Boar and Wildebeest, as well as a vegetarian option. So if you’re feeling adventurous, you can try a burger with a difference!

The tickets will grant two people access to the event; travel costs are not included so please ensure that you can reach Bishops Park in time for the showing (and make sure you can get home too!). The closest tube station is Putney Bridge on the District Line. A map and further information can be found here.

Please note that bad weather (wind and rain) can prevent the screening from going ahead. Unfortunately I can take no responsibility for any cancellation of the film. Scott-Pilgrim-Quad-Poster

If this film (or date, or place) doesn’t tickle your fancy, take a look at the Pop Up Screens website. There are lots of different films screening in various parts of London for the rest of the summer, up to 23rd September. Tickets are £8 each.
